Luke William Segaloff
I've always loved the name Luke, and knew I'd love for my first little boy to be Luke. When Mark and I first talked baby names, he agreed he loved Luke too, and if we had a boy he already had a name! It was seriously that easy!
Luke: Latin meaning is light giving
I know this little guy is going to be the light of our lives, he really already is! and I hope we can raise him to be a light of Christ to those that surround him!
William: Honoring Mark's dad who passed when Mark was very young, and my grandfather who passed in 2010. Both Williams were wonderful men, and this little guy is going to grow up hearing how amazing they were!
We love to refer to him by his name now! Mark is always asking how his little Luke is doing, and has lovingly nicknamed him L-dub :)
Hi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the journey with everyone. I am extremely touched and lifted when I read your blog. It has been a huge encouragement especially when it comes to my new relationship with my man who is trying to graduate early to be a pilot. I hear negativity about how life will be hard and different with him but I knew it will be good because my man is truly a gift sent to me by a prayer. Literally. I don't know if you read comments or respond to them now that you are pregnant. I would like to ask if you could share your love story with Mark and what the Lord has spoken to encourage you? Thanks!
P.S. When I read your post about Luke being a goldfish, I couldn't have felt any happier for you. I was crying as well. You are a great writer with these vivid words to describe Luke! I can't wait to have a "goldfish". Inside of me too one day. :)
Hi YK! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! You have no idea how much it touched me! I am so glad you have found encouragement with your relationship, don't let any negativity get you down. I would never down play how tough mentally you have to be to be a pilot wife, but the benefits far out weigh the hardships! I don't post a lot about the downs we have, just to keep things happy and I hate to complain on my blog :) But we have definitively had out share of valleys to climb out of! Our strong faith and daily prayer together (this is key!!!) keep us focused on our marriage! I'd love to share our love story with everyone! I have to warn you though, it's not very long. :) We got engaged very quickly and married about 8 months after that! Stay tuned and I'll dedicate some posts to that story within the next few weeks!
